This position is a direct recruitment, which means that the recruitment process takes place through Bravura and you are hired directly by Micropower.

About the position
In the role of mechanical designer at Micropower, you have overall responsibility from idea and concept development to industrialization and work with continuous improvements of the company's lithium ion batteries. When designing for high-volume production, your designs need to meet requirements for cost, performance and reliability. The design work takes place in Inventor. Your duties also include collaborating with component suppliers and providing support to production in Växjö. The role calls for innovative ideas and creativity, but there needs to be consistent structure and documentation in your work. This is a responsible and contact-rich role where, in addition to the design group, subcontractors and production, you also collaborate with other departments within Micropower such as project managers, system engineers, electrical engineers and testers.

• The design must meet requirements for cost, performance and reliability
• The design work takes place in Inventor
• Cooperation with component suppliers and providing support to production
• The role calls for innovative ideas and creativity
• Collaboration with designers, subcontractors and production as well as project managers, system engineers, electrical engineers and testers

Education, experience and personal qualities
• University education at least university engineering level in a relevant field
• Many years of experience and knowledge in mechanical design and DFMEA
• Good understanding of thermal, shock/vibration and shock properties. It is advantageous to have knowledge of calculating and simulating these
• Experience with 3D programs, preferably Inventor
• It is advantageous to have construction experience in plastic and metal as well as experience in battery development
• It is advantageous to have experience of working against the standards ISO 26262 and ISO 13849
