Access Shelf Mount Charger

The Access Shelf Mount is a high-frequency smart charger from Micropower US, formerly Ecotec, housed in a cabinet designed for mounting directly on a shelf or charger stand. No additional stand is required, which makes it an optimal when replacing existing chargers. It is well suited to rental fleets and busy battery rooms, and units can be stacked up to three high to make the most of available space.

Conventional, opportunity, and fast charge configurations available.

Data sheet

Path 14
The Access Shelf Mount builds on the proven Access charger platform, combining energy efficiency with precise, battery-friendly charging.

A microcomputer control continuously manages the charge, adapting to the condition of the battery for the best possible battery life. The charger handles all common battery types, and a clear display and control panel make programming straightforward. Charge data is archived for up to 1,800 cycles, giving a complete picture of battery and charger performance over time. A wireless radio is standard on all Access chargers, allowing fleet-wide monitoring and management.

With an efficiency of 96 percent and a power factor of 0.95, the charger keeps energy costs low. Its light weight and compact cabinet simplify installation, and dual circuit versions allow two batteries to be charged from a single unit. For larger installations, multi circuit units with four to eight circuits are available, and chargers can be connected in parallel for fast charging.

Battery Monitoring Unit (BMU)

Works seamlessly with Micropower Access chargers
When paired with any Micropower Access charger, the BMU handles charger configuration directly. Temperature monitoring is a mandatory input to the charger for fast and opportunity charging. The BMU also indicates charging capacity and cycle life, providing the information needed for efficient, long-term battery usage.

NFC technology for instant access
Through Near Field Communication, data collected by the BMU is accessible from any Android phone. Just download the BMU mobile app, select the battery, and the data is in your hand. Data can also be retrieved via the Access Service Tool on any PC, then downloaded and transformed into graphs for battery fleet planning.

Improved features
  • State of charge indicator: Use the battery until charging is actually necessary
  • Real backup for time and date settings: Eliminates statistical log errors
  • New nail connectors: Prevent acid intrusion
  • Flexible current sensor options: Up to >300A
Available in multiple models
The BMU comes in various models to match any lead/acid battery fleet - flooded or dry, soldered or bolted connectors.
