Micropower is an international company headquartered in Växjö, Sweden. With strong in-house expertise, we develop and produce efficient, intelligent lithium-ion batteries, charging systems, and power converters. We operate in Sweden, the USA, Germany, Finland, Italy. 

What you'll do 

In this role you will own and execute Micropower’s business development strategy for major North American forklift and material handling OEMs. A key part of the role is identifying emerging electrification opportunities and securing new platform entries with top tier OEM customers. You will serve as Micropower’s primary interface toward OEM engineering, sourcing, product management, and platform teams, ensuring strong technical alignment and long term commercial success.

You will work on positioning Micropower as a complete electrification partner, providing integrated systems including lithium battery systems, high frequency chargers, power converters, and telematics. You are a senior leader in the business, and you bring your OEM relationships to accelerate access and build new executive-level connections.

Requirements:

  • 7–10 years in OEM-focused business development or strategic sales roles within the forklift, material handling, industrial EV, or power systems sectors.
  • A strong network of existing relationships with major North American lift truck OEMs.
  • Demonstrated success winning OEM platform programs and managing long-cycle technical sales.
  • Strong understanding of electrification technologies including batteries, charging systems, CANbus integration, and power electronics.
  • Experience working with OEM validation processes, DFMEA/PFMEA cycles, product integration, and manufacturing launch requirements.
  • Proven track record in negotiating and contract management.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% across North America for OEM site visits and program reviews.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
